why is Dupe so bad compaired to the other films? My fave is the Murder one, but it needs cleaning it up to get rid of those bad cuts. The scissors one is pretty damm cool tho, how did you do the effects?

The scissor is done in 3dmax i think, but I'm not the screator.. I just did the music. Anyway, Dupe isent made by the same people who made the others.

I used Maya to create and animate the 3D scissors. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed Murder, that is still the highest rated movie on the site. You said there are some bad cuts in murder that need to be cleared up. Which ones are those? Perhaps if I have time, I'll go through it and tweek them.

Boy oh boy, people sure give Dupe a hard time.

Christian Marcussen did a great job on the score. With only 60 seconds, he was able to create mood and a theme. If anyone needs a composer for their films, I strongly recommend Chris.

your film has been edited with an excessive amount of jump cuts. Thus confussing the viewer in relation to the orientation of time.

I think you should read (I am not taking the pi_ss honest) Editing Techniques with Final Cut Pro, by Michael Wohl. What's in the book can be applied to any descent editing package, it also contains interviews with some of the great editors. and if you own a Mac has a CD rom attached for free.

Your film lacks understanding of the editing language.

PS. I'll try and avoid the Mac vs PC debate that's just surfaced. I can't make any promises though.

Hehehe...I always knew there was a reason for carrying scissors blade down. I have to say, that short is classic. I need to work on paring down one of our movies to 60 seconds.

but ... as ever, i'd be interested in knowing why you think Dupe is so bad. if i don't get feedback, how will i ever perfect exploiting the adolescent market place?

i just watched the new movie ... pretty cool.

can't say i actually noticed the music on the first viewing ... which should be taken as a compliment. i think.
